Who Can Change the Course of Your Voice Overs and How to Reach Them
The internet has finally gotten simple for voice overs. Here’s an interesting site called
30 voice Get a voice for $30. Simple.
They offer 15 males and 15 females and they all have a professional sound.
And the appealing thing is that this transaction is simple– like it should be.
You send the script- they voice the spot and send it back to you via email. $30 . Clean Deal.
Can’t tell you how much this simplicity appeals to me. I have spent countless hours finding voices for thousands of projects.
It’s a relief to have this kind of service at my fingertips. I recently wrote about Voice 123 and its excellent service. But I often get lost in the maze of thousands of choices. That’s just the way it is sometimes. Every format has it’s pros and cons. It can be argued that if I was a savvy organizer I could flip through a thousand choices quickly. But, I don’t.
30Voice is a welcome addition to the VO announcer world.
Here are the basics of 30Voice.com to keep it simple: ( taken from their website)
- ** dry voice only, no fx or music will be provided.
- ** client provides full written copy.
- ** 1 voice talent per order.
- ** clients canprovide a video or audio sample to
help instruct talent.
- ** please no combining of projects on one order
(i.e. no placing 3 video reads on the same script)
- ** 30 line limit at 14-point font (450 words max)
this works out to about 2.5 minutes of audio.
- ** you may exceed this limit by placing another order for
the same project (max 2 order limit on combinations.)
Sorry, larger orders must be discussed case-by-case.
- ** please direct us as clearly as possible as to voice style,
speed of reading, desired feel of audio, timing,
pronunciations, audio to be used for, etc.
- ** please make every effort to help us get your order right
THE FIRST TIME. revisions due to client error, changes,
updates, etc. or change of talent requests after delivery
require a new $30 order. mistakes where we are at fault
will be fixed free-of-charge by same talent. revisions are
subject to some delays.
I was pleasantly surprised with 30Voice and wish them well.

Note: 12-13-10- Sid Whatley passed away Friday, December 10, 2010, with complications following surgery. I am deeply saddened to receive the news of his death. The following article was posted in June 2010.
“On a cold January day I was walking down the hall at CBS radio in Charlotte when midday personality Catherine Lane challenged me—” Kyle, I’d like a Country Music Association - personality of the year award .”
